Sue McKenzie teaches 6th grade English, Math, Bible, and middle school literature as well as physical education. Her Alma Mater is the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Music Therapy focusing on children with special needs. She has a total of 19 years of full time teaching with the last nine years at Christ Lutheran. Sue also enjoys working with the talented students of Christ Lutheran as the musical director for the middle school Christmas musicals. A scripture passage that empowers her to think big and expect the best is Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in Christ Jesus forever and ever!”

6th Grade Service Project - May 5th, 2:00-3:00

Each year the 6th graders partake in a service project at Los Palos Convalescent Hospital on 6th St (across from Trinity Lutheran).  We get to play bingo with the residents!  For many students this turns out to be the best "field trip" of the year. The students will assist some of the residents with their bingo cards, visit with them, and take turns calling out the numbers.  One of the ways we bless the residents is by bringing dollar bills as prizes. Each student needs to earn $3 - $4 by doing extra chores and bring it to school by May 4th.  I insist that the $$ is earned as it's much more meaningful to the student to be literally invested in their gift of time and treasure.  Thanks for your help in finding extra chores!  Please sign and return the participation slip indicating if you will be able to drive.  Thank you!
