International Students

Dear Prospective Christ Lutheran Church & School Student,

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and your family for taking the time to explore the education we are excited to offer you.

My name is So Jung Kim and I am Christ Lutheran School’s Director of International Admissions. With my experience working with a very broad range of students and parents, I hope to serve the need for intercultural education in a diverse community. International students, with their diverse backgrounds, enrich the student body of CLCS, and help our school community develop a wider global perspective and prepare them to become leaders in an increasingly multicultural world.

CLCS’ International Admissions Department’s goal is to provide support and guidance to all of our international students so they have an optimal learning experience.  Thus, CLCS welcomes international students from all around the world who are seeking F-1 Visas.

Christ Lutheran Church & School places high value on preparing students for real world experiences reflective of our multi-cultural world. CLCS’ faculty and staff are encouraging and supportive to our international students, helping them to strive for their very best.

International students at CLCS are mainstreamed into regular classes. They can also choose from a wide range of opportunities of curricular and extra-curricular activities such as: life skills, art, music, computer, Spanish, drama, cooking, athletics, student council and outdoor education. Getting involved, both academically and socially is highly encouraged!

Finally, Christ Lutheran Church & School provides all the services necessary in helping to ensure that every international student achieves success academically, socially, and spiritually.  The program small class sizes, individualized counseling for students and frequent communication with parents in the student’s native country. CLCS also works closely with teachers and parents/guardians to monitor student’s academic progress.

It is CLCS’ hope that together, we can realize the goal set out in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Blessings,

So Jung Kim
