Mrs. Turnbull is looking forward to joining the Christ Lutheran staff this fall as the first grade teacher. She holds a degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Emphasis from John Brown University and has formerly taught preschool and third grade. Mrs. Turnbull has worked in both public and Christian schools but has a heart toward Christian education and recognizes what a privilege it is to be able to share the love of Jesus with students and teach the academics through a Christian worldview. Some of her hobbies include reading, crafting and drawing, and visiting local historical sites. She is also a children’s editor for a Scottish American publication.
Ms. Soon will be joining us as our Kindergarten teacher. She has been a longtime Lutheran School teacher who brings years of ministry, the love of The Lord and the love of teaching to the classroom experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Studies from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Education. Ms. Soon has been teaching and leading Lutheran schools for better than 20 years. She has taught at both the elementary and middle school level and served as a principal during her career. Her most recent position was in a Kindergarten class at Redeemer Lutheran School. She has been named “Teacher of the Year” and listed in the “Who’s Who in America’s Teachers” for many years, and is a writer for the Lutheran Devotional Booklet. Ms. Soon enjoys playing the hand bells during worship service, studying the Bible, writing and composing music, traveling and missions work.
We are look forward to having Mrs. Turnbull and Ms. Soon join the Christ Lutheran Family!
